Wed May 23, 2001 Coach Krause held a lift-a-thon with the potential 2001 football players to help raise money to purchase new uniforms for the up comming season. This was the first lift-a-thon in quite some time that Stebbins has had. A real good turn out of players was there and also I seen many teachers and coaches there supporting our young athletes. From what I seen today it looks as if we have a very strong football team comming up.
Friday June 1, 2001: Stebbins Football Opens Camp. Camp looks very promising this year with a good turn out of Seniors, Juniors, Sophmores, and many Freshman. The enthusiasm at camp was very positive and shows a promising future of things to come this season. I spoke to many players after camp and their exact words were (This was the best camp they had ever had in their years at Stebbins High School.) that's saying alot for our coaches and players. The next camp day will be held on Monday June 4th at the Stebbins practice field. I will give an up to date report on how things went on that day. Keep up the good work Stebbins. We the community support you and what you beleive in.
Monday June 4th, 2001: Stebbins Football holds it's second camp of the 2001 season. What a great turn out it was. and the enthusiasm was at an ultimate high point. These young athletes excelled at weightlifting, and personal drills like we have never seen. The athletes that I spoke to said (This was by far the most enthusiastic, and most skilled camp they had ever been in at Stebbins High School. And the coaches were so helpful in working skill levels to their highest points of each and every individual.) The whole team is already chanting MML champs. I am really looking forward to watching and supporting these fine young athletes to a very exciting and rewarding season.
