Dear GNO-ARMA Members:

I am so very pleased to have been elected to the 2003 Board as President.  I look forward to 
serving the association to the best of my abilities.

PLEASE READ THIS LETTER VERY CAREFULLY.  IMPORTANT NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU!!!

As you all know it takes more than one person to make a team.  As members of this important association 
I am hopeful that you will join me in building our ranks and our presence in the community.


Right now we need committee volunteers. The committees are as follows:

Audit	-To checks the accuracy of the financial transactions of the chapter, etc.
	Chair- Patrick Connoly- will you do this again?

Awards- To nominate the member of the year to recognize outstanding members, etc.

Budget & Finance-to examine fiscal policy from time to time, etc.
	Chair- Barbara Jacobs-will you do this again?

Communications-To gather, assemble, publish, and distribute, GNO chapter manual to all chapter members, etc.

ICRM- To provide information on and encourage professional growth in records and information management, etc.

ISG-To provide a routine method of communicating information on developments within the industry to the members 
of ISG, etc.

Legislative-To prepare a review of proposed amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws, etc.

Long Range Planning- To observe and define trends that may affect the future of the chapter (finance and membership 
maintenance), etc.

Membership-To develop, recommend and implement ways and means to recruit qualified members, etc.

	Chair-  Kathryn or Rob (Rob, are you doing this again?)

Nominating- To secure nominations for officers and directors, etc.

Professional Development and Education- to institute, develop, and supervise training courses for chapter members and 
the public, etc.

Program-  To feature programs consistent with the objectives and in the best interest of the association and to attempt 
to schedule and arrange for such programs at least six months in advance, etc.

	Chair- Gaylane Bonck (THANK YOU!!)

Public Relations- To provide and maintain a suitable public relations and publicity program consistent with the objectives 
and in the best interest of the association

	Chair-Kathryn Smith

Social & Hospitality- To order and maintain member identification badges, handle restaurant reservations, etc.

	Chair- Melanie Gonzales (THANK YOU!!)
	Member- Kathy Falcone (THANK YOU!!)


On July 16, 2003 we will be holding a "sneaker' meeting at my apt in downtown New Orleans.  This meeting is for the 
present and past board members as well as the current committee members and those interested in serving on a committee.  
Put on your comfy clothes and sneakers and join us in making our GNO-ARMA group the most dynamic in the country.  For 
more details please contact Melanie Gonzales or myself.

In addition, we have a need for each and every member to promote our organization and help us become the biggest ARMA 
chapter in the nation.  WE CAN DO IT!!!!  What we do is important to the business world whether they know it now or not. 
Let us help them to know it by inviting those we know are interested in professional management of records and information 
to our monthly meetings.  If you can get them there we can get them interested together.

I am offering a FREE 3 night/ 4-day weekend at Navarre Beach Florida to the GNO-ARMA member that brings in the most members in 
the next 8 months.  Good luck!!!
