| My dear sweet Papa, you always said we were two peas in a pod I can still hear your peaching and your strong beliefs of God Me sneaking out to the movies when I thought I'd be alone Little did I know that my girlfirend would use the pphone How I loved you Papa, how I cried when Mama tore us apart I could never figure out the way to mending a broken heart Yet, I know that I would find you again, my brother often saw my frown I knew it in my heart always that he'd never let me down |

| We often wrote each other, as I told you I had two boys I told you all about my husband and how they were all precious joys I'm grateful that you gave me the talent of poetry to write Now I'm the one who gets the answers whether early morn or late at night I still remember how we would help each other if we were in trouble How we confused Mama often when we acted as each other's double The nights you'd sneak out with Aunt Gracie, did you think I didn't see You never had anything to worry about, cause your secrets were left with me |
