Player informationAbout disparities: to use horse racing terms, your rating can be seen as your CLASS (potential), and your TP as your FORM (how well you are playing now).Any huge discrepancies will be taken up with CHESSA for possible adjustment. |
TITLESTo achieve a title, a player must meet the following criteria during a year:
- KING TP of over 2250 in 4 tournaments
- QUEEN TP of over 2000 in 4 tournaments
- ROOK TP of over 1800 in 4 tournaments
- BISHOP TP of over 1500 in 4 tournaments
- KNIGHT TP of over 1200 in 4 tournaments
- PAWN Participation in 4 tournaments
These are for individual performances, and not the average over all tournaments. eg Performances of 2150, 2109, 2088 and 1989 qualifies for ROOK, not Queen.
|
Titles are awarded for life, and can only change if the player achieves the next highest mark. eg. A ROOK can become a QUEEN, but can never be demoted to a BISHOP
For our purposes,a year is approximately a 12 month period. For instance, after the 2005 Reserve Bank Open, the 2004 tournament will be removed, and the new one added.
