Fernwood Cove 2001
Last summer, I was a camp counselor at Fernwood Cove, a camp for girls in Harrison, Maine. While this was one of the most trying/stressful job at times because you basically work 24/7, I met so many cool people from all over the world and got to be a "Bunk Mom" to 8 kids(1st session) and 5 kids(2nd session). My girlies were going into 6th grade, so that means I lived with 10 and 11 year olds all summer...like totally! Here are some great pics from the summer!

That's Island Pond, where the camp was. Many memories of swimming,
banana boating, waterskiing, and even crazy relay races with Watermelons...
"So this one time, at summer camp, my awesome Australian co-counselor Katie and I decided to go canoeing, but she jumped out of the canoe knocking me out too. Ten minutes later and many canoe bruises too, we were headed back to shore soaked.

That's "The Chick". All the dance, drama, and some music classes were there,
and of course the weekly performance nights!

My girls from 1st session in front of Starling, the best cabin ever! Yeah Starling Stars!

Alix and Lucie, my two little French girls!

The job of a counselor can make you go crazy, as demonstrated by my co-counselor Katie (Australia), Kate (Minnesota), Gareth (England)and Jacob (North Carolina)...Andrew decided to join in on the fun too.

My 2nd session girls strike a pose after the lip-sync contest!

Swimming holes are cool. It's like swimming in Poland Springs Water!

Group hug! Ah, my last day, tragically torn away from my kiddies!
They were too cute, running after the car, making me cry!
