I love Rosie. She's a regular, down- to- earth lady-no airs, just Rosie. She has used her celebrity to benefit children and breast cancer awareness. She has a foundation set up for children and raises millions. Proceeds from 2 Christmas CD's (Real good cuts with guest artist-you have to hear the Dixie Chicks cut-such a hoot-it's worth the price of the CD) and various other things have gone to this foundation. She also loves Broadway and many have credited her with developing public interest in the shows there. If you watch her show you know she breaks out into song all the time. She was asked to fill in for a short time for one of the cast members in the Seussicle Show on Broadway like she doesn't have enough to do! Update-Rosie is a smash hit as Dr.Seuss!!!She loves children and has adopted 3 infants and one child that was a preschool aged girl (I think). I would say Rosie has a very busy life with the show, the children, guest spots, fundraising events, and other commitments, wouldn't you? Watch her show if you get the chance, it's lighthearted and fun-take a break from the serious stuff! Also visit her website for fun, games, craft corner (Rosie loves decoupage), and much more. And by the way Rosie LOVES Barbara Streisand!
~Update~ it's 9/2001 and this will be Rosie's last season. I think her show is supposed to go on with Caroline Rae(?) hosting but it just will not be the same..... |
