Transformed Animal Schticks:
Some changes were needed – a few powers were just too expensive in terms of Chi, and in others I wanted to unify some mechanics.

Fu, not Chi: Transformed Animal Schticks use Fu, not Chi. This is a change from the FS rules and makes book-keeping easier.



Bear:
The Bear's style is aggressive, with wide sweeping blows and furious forward thrusts – the legs are rarely used, and posture tends to be either hunkered down or standing tall. It is not subtle, but it is incredibly powerful. Bears tend to be at their most dangerous when wounded, and they are notoriously hard to kill.

Bellow

When you've been wounded, you can make an enraged, blood-curdling bellow. Make a Martial Arts check with an opponet's Willpower as the difficulty. If successful, opponent suffers Impairment equal to (your current Wound Points ÷ 5) until end of sequence. You can target a number of opponets equal to your number of schtick picks in Bellow; use the highest Willpower rating in a group as your difficulty.

Fortitude

You are hard to kill. When you are forced to make a Death Check, you may spend 2 Fu and ignore the need to make it. You still suffer Impairment or other penalties associated with your condition. You may use Fortitude as a reaction. When the fight or scene ends, you must immediately make a Death Check which cannot be ignored through the use of Fortitude.

Slap

Slap an opponent for Strength +2 damage by making a Martial Arts check. If successful, the opponent is thrown a number of meters equal to the Wound Points inflicted in the direction of your choice. A target that is thrown loses one shot for each meter he is hurled while regaining his bearings.

Rage

Until end of Sequence you have an Armor rating equal to (your current Wound points / 5). The maximum armor that any transformed animal can gain through any combination of transformed animal schticks is 8.


Crab:
The Crab's form is full of quick movements and knife-hand strikes. Stance is generally low, with the feet out at the shoulder's width or wider, one arm held up and behind the other low and forward. Crabs are hard to hurt, particularly outside of melee combat, quick on their feet, and capable of delivering nasty injuries.

After you are hit by gunfire, you may elect to take no Wound Points and instead convert the Wound Points you would normally have suffered into Fu Points which you must spend by the end of the Sequence. This requires a Martial Arts check against the Wound Points you took. Any unspent Fu points become Wound Points again at the end of the Sequence, so use them up quick.

Hit an opponent bare-handed with a Martial Arts check; if successful, you may add X (any amount of Fu you elect to spend) to the Damage rating of your attack.

Scuttle

Add X (any amount of Fu you elect to spend) to your active Dodge rating until end of Sequence.

Shell

For each schtick pick, add 2 to your armor value until end of dequence. The maximum possible armor adds using any combination of transformed animal schticks is 8.


General:
These schticks can be taken by all of the Transformed Animals (with noted exceptions).

Doolittling

You can talk to the animal kin to whom you descend. Make an Intelligence check to initiate dialog between you and others of your species. Each additional schtick expands the range of animals to which you can speak. Example: Monkey to Primate to Mammal.

Latency
You are particularly resistant to reversion. You may now make reversion checks as if you were from the AD 69 juncture. Each additional schtick adds +2 to your reversion checks.


Predator

For a sequence, substitute your Martial Arts AV for Intimidation rolls. Others with the Predator schtick ignore this effect. You cannot have both Predator and Prey schticks. Those who can take this schtick are: Bear, Boar, Dragon, Mantis, Panda, Scorpion, Shark, Snake, Spider and Tiger.

Prey

For a sequence, substitute your Martial Arts AV for Intrusion rolls. Others with the Prey schtick ignore this effect. You cannot have both Predator and Prey schticks. Those who can take this schtick are: Cockroach, Rat, Salamander, Tortoise
