Kirsten joined Maximum Title a couple of years ago after several months of begging by Craig. Once Craig heard Kirsten played baseball and had dabbled in softball, he asked Kirsten to come out to a pre-season practice and give it a try. Craig figured Maximum Title couldn�t get any worse and Kirsten seemed somewhat athletic. So, one Sunday at McDonough high school, Kirsten showed up and was a pleasant surprise as his bat skills got everybody�s attention. However, the troubles began when Kirsten put on his glove and took off to the outfield. Kirsten was able to run down several fly balls and showed impressive speed. But when he went to throw the ball to 2nd base, his submarine throwing style took everyone by surprise. Kirsten quickly became the �Chuck Knoblauch� of the team as his throws were never pretty but somehow, always seemed to make their way to the infield. The team decided that his speed and hitting were enough to override his obvious shortcomings throwing the ball. Another issue Kirsten faced was identity theft. When he signed his first roster with Maximum Title, he put his age and the team saw he was in his mid-twenties yet he was obviously suffering from �follicle failure�. With this premature balding issue, several opponents appealed the teams� roster as they said there is NO WAY that man is in his twenties with a head of hair (or lack thereof) like that. After several submittals of his birth certificate and a few hearings, it was determined that Kirsten was NOT required to play in the over 35 league and could in fact be a part of the Pacific North League with Maximum Title.
Kirsten started out like most other newcomers, sit the bench at least one game and play one game. After about half a season, Kirsten�s bat forced the team to have him in the lineup every game. He hasn�t come out since. However, with his bat needed in the lineup, the issue is where to put him in the field. Last season, Maximum Title wanted to try him in the infield�BAD MOVE!!! He quickly became known as Kirsten � ole' � Gunderson, as he turned his head, closed his eyes, and fanned his glove wildly as the ball sped past him and into the outfield. He was quickly sent back to the outfield where he belongs.
Since then, Kirsten has shown why he is on this roster. In last year�s pre-season tourney, he was playing left field and in a close game, made a full out sprint and dive for a ball and made the catch to end the game. This season, for GMO, he has been holding down the right field line and has made several outstanding catches taking away extra base hits from opposing teams. However, there have been no positive steps taken to restore his hair growth, as he continues to lose a strand a day. Kirsten has also long been known as a party boy. When not modeling a new product by Propecia, he likes to get totally wasted and chase loose women until he gets laid or arrested, whichever happens first. But now, he has settled down and bought a house with his girlfriend Sara, who makes sure his Tra-La-La is on lockdown. It is believed that one night last season, after a double-header at Laurel Springs, his girlfriend showed up with a trunk full of Chipotle burrito�s. This was believed to be the very moment Kirsten realized he had found his life partner. They currently reside in the Strawberry Hills subdivision in Bryans Road, officially earmarked the �ghetto of Southern Maryland�. Kirsten is an engineer at NSWC, the base in Indian Head. He likes to surf the internet, take extra long lunches to La Plata and work out in the gym.
