Chris Bikowski has been a part of the Laurel Branch / Maximum Title / GMO softball family since 1999. Although he has always been a contributor to the team with his glove and speed, and recently his bat, he has always walked in the ENORMOUS footsteps of his older brother, and to be honest, it�s just not fair. Chris has always idolized his older brother and attempted to be just like him. Chris started his softball career as an infielder because, well, that�s what his big brother did. Well, it didn�t quite workout for young Chris as his infielding skills were an embarrassment to the Bikowski family. So, Chris took his brothers� advice and took his speed and quickness out to greener pastures�.the outfield.
Since his move to the outfield, Chris has become a stellar outfielder with an accurate arm. Once the team lost �Doc�, Chris became the left fielder. However, after an off-season back surgery, Chris has had to take his time coming back. With the surgery limiting much of what he could do, Chris put on a little weight and has found that besides getting his mobility back, his speed is also something he needs to work on to regain. Last season, Chris would sometimes tag up from second on deep fly-balls. This season, he appears to be running in peanut butter, as his speed is no where NEAR what it was last season. As a matter of fact, there is a running pool right now on the team as to who is the faster Bikowski, and to no surprise, Chris is not the odds on favorite!
You always tend to notice when Chris arrives at the fields, whether it�s in his Dodge Viper, his Dodge SRT-10 Viper truck, his Toyota 4Runner, his recently sold Prowler or his soon to be had Acura TL. Chris continues to amaze fans with his ability to have an entry level government job as a GS-.024 and yet have more luxury vehicles than Jay Leno.
There is one thing that can be said for this young Bikowski, he�s determined to see this team win. Even with his bad back, you will always find him running down fly balls and diving for balls whenever he can. His swing is now more compact and at times seems as powerful and precise as his older siblings� swing.
With Chris only being 24 years old, he looks to be a part of this team for years to come. With his fashion sense and drive to be the prettiest one on the field, GMO will most definitely always have the cutest uniforms and matching accessories around. The rumor mill is turning out another tidbit that later this season, the entire team will be driving Burnt Orange Vipers with personalized tags. No matter what happens, the team will be in good hands with their resident fashion diva on board, Chris Bikowski!
