BJ Kittle, aka, Heartbreaker13, is a relative newcomer to the world of men�s slow-pitch softball. He joined the Maximum Title squad back in 2005 after much recruiting by Craig Bikowski. Most on the team who knew or heard of Heartbreaker13 was aware of his skills and abilities. However, during warm-ups for his first game, BJ was taking grounders and looked almost retarded as he booted every single ball hit to him. Petras Sr. looked at the Bikowski brothers and asked, �what in the hell did you two bring us?� Things didn�t get much better as in his first several at-bats; BJ was apparently misinformed that the slow-pitch softball strike zone was 3 feet over one�s head. �I�ve never seen anyone swing at pitches so far over their head, he gave new meaning to the term �tomahawk� swing�, said Darrin Edelen.
Since then, BJ has slowly started to progress into quite a fine softball player, under the careful tutelage of Craig Bikowski. BJ, who mans the 2B position when he comes, has become one of the elite turners of double plays. �He gets the ball and gets rid of it so fast, it�s almost a miracle�, said Scott Moran. �And the velocity in which the balls get there are unreal�, added Moran. Many members of the newly formed GMO team are in awe of what the Heartbreaker does out on the field. He puts in so much practice time to go along with all his baseball games and softball games that it�s no wonder he has gotten to the point of where he is today.
But what�s more impressive is his accomplishments off the field. When not playing games on the weekends, BJ can be found �party-hopping�. He literally drives from one barbecue to another, eating other peoples� food and drinking their beer. �I have never seen anything like it when BJ gets his party on�, said friend and teammate Aaron Michael. �He can throw down beer like Homer Simpson�, Michael added. On one recent weekend, Heartbreaker13 went to Capt. Billy�s for his dad�s birthday party, then, hurried to Chris Bikowski�s house for a cookout, where he threw down beer after beer, downed a few dogs, and threw a few horseshoes, and then departed for the next party. �He�s an animal�, said Craig Bikowski.
Now there�s the issue of Heartbreaker13 and where that comes from. As many know, BJ doesn�t have much time for the female species. With all his baseball, softball and partying, what sane woman would want to be a part of that? So it is still a mystery as to where the Heartbreaker moniker came from. But know this; once BJ decides to focus his energy and attention to the women like he does baseball, it will no longer be Heartbreaker13, but rather PimpMaster13. Until then, let�s just be thankful he�s on the GMO squad.
