Adam Overbey is one of the longest tenured players on the team.  He and his father began playing with the original Laurel Branch team many, many years ago.  As a matter of fact, that was back when Adam knew how to hit a softball.  Adam was the leadoff batter for the team for many years and continued in that role throughout his journey on the Maximum Title team.

Adam comes from a family of athletes.  In fact, every male in the Overbey clan has either torn a hamstring or played softball for the Laurel Branch/Maximum Title/GMO teams.  Luke Overbey played on the Laurel Branch team catching balls and THEN diving and Seth Overbey made several cameo appearances with Maximum Title.  But Adam has been the most loyal of the Overbey cluster.  He rarely misses games, always seems to have a friend who wants to play (i.e. Pat, Bart, etc).

Adam has seen his position in the batting order slip in the last two years and always seems to question why.  For the longest time, Adam was our leadoff batter and most consistent hitters.  I think he just wants to give other guys a chance, so he is letting up a bit recently, said Coach Craig Bikowski.  Through all the lineup changes, Adam has remained the consummate professional.  He sometimes makes comments about how much further down can he go, but he never complains.

Adam is also a very clean, by the book individual.  Rumor has it he has NEVER tasted any alcohol of ANY kind.  It is also believed that he has NEVER had any profane language cross his lips.  When the Bikowski brothers talk smack to other teams and/or umpires, it really gets to me.  The filth coming from their mouths is disturbing.  Theyre real potty mouths if you ask me, said Adam.  Nonetheless, Adam shows up every week ready to play and show off his big beautiful smile along with his Towson wide receiver speed.  The only problem, he hasnt gotten on base in his last 73 at bats.  But the team remains hopefull!
