       Jobs in School
Ever wonder what it would take to be a teacher, school aide, principal, lunch lady, or a counselor? These reporters are going to be doing on going interviews with people to tell you what it's like to have those carreers at GMMS.
Our first interview will be with a couple teachers. We'll get their perspectives on what it is like to be a teacher. The first teacher we interviewed was Mr. Clingman. Mr. Clingman has been teaching for 5 years. He went to Mesa State College for 2 years to get 2 degrees in drama and a teacher's liscense. I asked if being a drama teacher was stressful, and he said yes if the students don't cooperate. Mr. Clingman wanted to be a drama teacher because he loved watching kids learn how to perform and to watch them not mess up and embarrass themselves. He also likes to yell at seventh graders. Mr. Clingman's favorite part of his job is watching kids be successful in a play or skit. He also says it's satisfing and fun for hours on end. Anyone wanting to be a drama teacher might want to do as Mr. Clingman did(the college years he did).
Our next contestant is Mrs. Foster from core 6m. Mrs. Foster has been teaching for 14 years. She loves her job and even though her job can sometimes be frustrating she still loves the fun of learning about the students. Mrs. F went to Mesa State college for four years but didn't take all four years learning to be a teacher.
