Fearing delivery along the road, we sped from this young couple's remote home to the hospital over twenty five miles away, over mountain roads.  The Baby boy was born just minutes after our arrival.  With a high infant mortality rate of over twenty percent, parents don't make any plans concerning the baby until after a healthy birth.

No name was chosen before the birth, but at the hospital, they said they were going to call him Craig.  We were so honored, but told them a Mexican name would be better for him.
