Responsibilities include serving customers, managing the largest department in a grocery store, writing employee schedules, and serving as store manager on duty when necessary.

 

Pay Less Supermarkets, A Kroger Corporation Store, West Lafayette, Indiana

2001 to 2003, Service Coordinator

Responsibilities included assisting customers, supervising ten to twenty employees, reconciling daily store sales, cash handling, and overall customer service.  Shadowed store management to learn basic store operations, such as ordering, employee and customer relations.

 

Eagle Country Markets, Valparaiso, Indiana

1998 to 2000, Service Desk Manager

Responsibilities included providing customer service, supervising a grocery store, and reconciling store sales.  One of four people to carry keys to the store, combination to the safe, and access to store security system.

 

ACTIVITIES

Purdue University College Republicans

2002-2003, Vice Chairman

Responsible for daily administration of a large and active student organization.  Playing a key role in major decision-making and in shaping the focus of the organization. Planning two meetings a week, and acting as chairman when necessary.

2001-2002, Secretary

Responsible for keeping a club well organized, as well as keeping a record of minutes, and a database of membership.  Instrumental in planning a large-scale event when the organization hosted former Marine Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North.  The event, which catered to students and the Greater Lafayette community, hosted over 1,000 people.

Responsibilities included voting on party issues and for party leadership, staffing
