I was and still am completely overwhelmed by all the comments from the people who have visited and continue to visit my site, and how much they related to my diabetes poetry and thoughts. For many new parents to diabetes, it let them know that others were feeling the same things, and were struggling with the same issues�they were not alone.
I hope that in some small way, my site provided comfort, reassurance, and hope to all those people out there struggling with diabetes. The only goals you can�t achieve in your life are the ones you fail to set for yourself. Don�t let diabetes become your road block or excuse. While diabetes can be very difficult at times, you have the power, the tools and ability to make the choices that will successfully guide you through this disease.
Take one day at a time, celebrate the victories, no matter how small, learn from your mistakes�and just do the best you can, that�s what counts.
