| Before I think of the days that used to be, Free from the worries and thoughts of 'D'. Of climbing trees and skipping rocks, Not testing blood and taking shots. I rode my bike on off-road tracks, With little thought to stop for snacks. I ate what I wanted, I was free, No schedules, no tests, no worries of 'D'. I grew to accept, and I learned to explore, With 'D' part of me, I had to learn more. With all of the troubles, the stories, the strife, 'D' wont slow me down; I want a full life! Sometimes there are problems, this we must know, Through all of our problems, we learn and we grow. And when I see someone worse off than me, I think to myself, At least Im just 'D'. I can see, I can walk, and yes I can shout, I can get in my car, and drive all about. My 'D' makes me plan, and schedule my way, Theres no need to hide, no need to delay. So if you stand back, it becomes clear to see, Im doing just fine, just me and my 'D'. I fight a good fight; I play the 'D' game, I hold my head high, I feel no shame. Gary 2000 |
