| I believe the bible to be the inspired, truthful and authoritative word of God. I believe in the holiness of Jesus Christ, that he is the only begotten son of God, born as a man in the flesh, both human and divine, as the lamb of God. I believe in his virgin birth, his sinless life, his ministry on earth, his death as attonement for our sins, his bodily resurrection, his accention to the father in heaven and his return to earth in power and glory. I believe that we are to test the spirits, and not "blindly" follow anyone who claims to be teaching God's word. I believe in the present day existence of the Holy Spirit, and of the spiritual gifts, mentioned in the bible manifested today. I believe that prayer and continuall submission to Gods will is necessary daily, for spiritual growth, and to remain in his presence. I believe that mankind is sinful by inheritance, and that rebirth by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation, and by whose indwelling the believer is empowered to live a godly life, with evidence manifested, and sealed until the day of redemption. I believe in the resurection of the saved and of the lost, of the saved, into everlasting life and fellowship with God, and to the lost eternal judgement and seperation from God. I believe that all power and authority in heaven and on earth has been given to our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that he has directed his church, the Body of Christ, to spread the Gospel, and make disciples of every nation. I believe it is the responsibility of every member of the Body of Christ to carry out this commandment from the Lord Jesus Christ himself. I believe that the fellowship with other believers is essential for the building up of one another, by encouragement, in prayer and by bearing each others burdons. I believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus Christ is returning soon with Great Power and Glory, to reward those who have kept the faith, and endured Gary B. Mitchell |
