These are the files needed to flash your Japanese clie into English version

  1. Jacksprat

  2. NR70V English Rom

  3. FlashOS

How to Install

  1. Install Jacksprat to your clie handheld. Then run it and do backup rom on card (you need to have at least 16 meg free on your Memory stick.)
  2. Hard reset
  3. Connect your clie to your PC with MS Import to edit the memory stick.
  4. Delete all of the files in "/PALM/PROGRAMS/JackSprat/".
  5. Put FlashOS.prc and all the English rom images in "/PALM/PROGRAMS/JackSprat/".
  6. Use MS Gate to move everything from "/PALM/PROGRAMS/JackSprat/" to Clie RAM (main memory not memory stick).
  7. Open FlashOS and follow the instructions to flash the ROM
  8. The screen should ask you to hard reset in English so press the "scroll Up" button
  9. English OS should be loaded and running!
     

*Note: If you want to flash NR70 the procedure is the same except you use NR70 English roms instead of NR70V roms. Download updates for your clie at http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/clie/nr70_70v/softupdates/
