Day 33 @ Detroit:  The Kings held the Red Wings to 16 shots in a 2-1 win.  Sundin and Tukonen scored goals.

Day 31 vs Atlanta:  The Kings were unable to generate any sustained pressure as they were shutout 3-0 by the Thrashers.  The Kings only garnered 21 saves in the loss.

Day 30 @ Buffalo:  Craig Conroy's second of the game with just over eight minutes left in regulation salvaged a 4-4 tie with the Sabres.  Mathieu Garon made 36 saves for the Kings.

Day 28 @ Washington:  Alexei Ponikarovsky and Peter Kanko scored for the Kings in a 2-1 win.  The defense was outstanding limiting Washington to only 20 shots.  Mathieu Garon recorded the win in net.

Day 25 vs Boston:  Mike Keenan made his Kings Coaching debut and he didn't disappoint.  The Kings beat the Eastern Conference leading Bruins, 4-1.  Wayne Primeau, Anton Volchenkov, Mattias Norstrom, and Sean Avery scored for the Kings.  Niko Dimitrakos tallied 2 assists.

Day 24 @ Chicago:  The Kings and Blackhawks had a wild battle, but the Kings came up short in a 5-4 loss.  Mattias Norstrom, Sean Hill, Ryan Malone, and Mats Sundin scored for the Kings. Niko Dimitrakos had 3 assists.

Day 23 vs New Jersey:  The Kings were shutout 3-0 by the Devils.  Mathieu Garon made 20 saves.

Day 22 @ Dallas:  The Kings ended their nine-game winless streak with a 4-0 win over the Stars.  Dustin Brown scored two goals. Craig Conroy had a goal and an assist and Wayne Primeau notched his first of the season.  Mathieu Garon made 25 saves.

Day 21 vs NY Rangers:  The Kings were destroyed 5-2 by the Rangers.  Ryan Malone scored his 7th goal of the season and Sean Avery notched his first, but it was not enough.  Mats Sundin, Niko Dimitrakos, and Lubomir Visnovsky were each -5 for the night.

Day 19 @ Phoenix: The Kings built a 3-1 lead into the third period on two goals by Lubomir Visnovsky and a goal by Niko Dimitrakos, but they could not hold on.  The Coyotes tied the score with two goals in the final stanza and won the game in overtime.

Day 17 vs. NY Rangers:  The Kings dropped a 4-1 decision to the Rangers.  Mats Sundin scored his first goal as a King.

Day 16 vs. New Jersey:  After falling behind 4-2 in the first period, the Kings rallied to tie the Devils 5-5.  Craig Conroy scored a goal and added an assist.  Alexei Ponikarovsky tallied two assists.

Day 15 @Dallas:  The Kings built a 3-0 lead after two periods on goals by Alexei Ponikarovsky, Ryan Malone, and Craig Conroy. The team collapsed in the third period, yielding 4 goals in the first six minutes of the final stanza.

Day 12 @ Tampa Bay:  The Kings blew 2-1 and 3-2 leads as they tied the Lightning 3-3.  Anton Volchenkov, Rob Davison, and Petr Kanko scored for the Kings.

Day 10 vs. Minnesota:  The Kings were crushed by the Wild 5-1.  Peter Kanko's goal with 1:32 to play in the game prevented the shut-out, but it was too little too late.

Day 9 @ Dallas:  The Kings yieled 3 consecutive goals in the third period as the Stars broke open a 3-3 game.  Pavol Demitra scored his fifth goal with 4:12 remaining, but the Kings would not get any closer.

Day 8 vs. Nashville:  After jumping out to a 1-0 lead 9 seconds into the second period, the Kings surrendered the next three goals.  Jeff Cowan scored a short-handed goal in the third period to cut the deficit to one, but Scotty Upshall's goal gave Nashville a 2-goal lead.  Craig Conroy brought the Kings within one with 3:58 to play, but the Kings could not get the equalizer.

Day 6 vs. Montreal:  Alexander Frolov scored a goal 11 seconds into the game and added a third period assist in a 3-2 victory.  Pavol Demitra tallied his second goal of the season.  Jeremy Roenick notched two assists.  Steve Kelly scored his first goal of the season on a beautiful set-up by Lauri Tukonen and Aaron Miller.  Mathieu Garon made 30 saves and was named the game's first star.

Day 2 vs. Columbus:  Mattias Norstrom and Peter Kanko each scored a goal in a 3-2 loss.  Dustin Brown and Craig Conroy each tallied 2 assists.  Mathieu Garon stopped 39 Blue Jackets shots.

Day 1 @ Florida:  The Kings got first period goals from Peter Kanko, Craig Conroy, Tom Kostopoulos, and Jeremy Roenick as they built a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.  The Panthers scored  goals over th next 24 minutes to cut the lead, but Pavol Demitra and Dustin Brown put the game away with third period tallies.  Mathieu Garon made 29 saves in the 6-3 win.
