Kings Improving, Coggs Still Not Satisfied

The Kings replaced Head Coach Andy Murray with Mike Keenan last week. Since the change the Kings have gone 4-2-1.

Kings "The improvement is nice, but I'd say we are far from having this thing turned around," Coggs said following a 2-2 in Columbus.

The Kings and Blue Jackets had a first period that reminded many of the shootout at the OK Corral. Both teams netted two in the opening stanza, however there would be no more scoring. The defenses clamped down. Marc Denis and Mathieu Garon both made big saves to preserve the tie.

"It's a shame, really", Coggs said. "You get two goals out of Sean Hill, a guy who is not known for scoring goals, and you can't get the 'W'."

When asked if he is still working the phones for a trade Coggs said he has relaxed a little. He wants to see if the coaching change can have an impact, but he will not wait for too long if he thinks he needs to do something. He wouldn't give any specific names just said, "I'll trade them all if I have to or if the right deal comes around."

Coggs cut his interview short last night. Rumors were circulating that he a few sorority girls from Ohio State were waiting for him at his hotel room.
