| Carl Friedrich Ladwig was the first born son of John F. and Sophia Ladwig. He was born in Germany, married Hulda Kalkbrenner there, and came with his young family to America in about 1857-8. This four generation photo accompanied his obituary in 1909 at Sumner, Bremer County, Iowa: |
