Glencoe Model Airplane Club
GMAC is the first radio control airplane club in a high school in the United States. This is our second year as a club and our first year with a website. We hope to do more this year than last. There are less people in the club this year but more have planes and more members are serious about flying and getting airplanes.
We flew in the Powder Puff game between the Glencoe seniors and juniors, as the halftime show. Our halftime show wasn't a good preview of the club member's ability to fly. The electric planes are not as good as gas, especially in wind, cold temperatures, and rain. If there was little to no wind and there was no rain, it would have been a much better show.
