| Code 13 Oxygen Sensor Circuit |
|||||||
| The computer supplies a voltage of about .45 volt between the hot and ground terminals of the oxygen sensor. The sensor varies the voltage within a range of about 1 volt if the exhaust is rich, down through about .10 volt if the exhaust is lean. The sensor is like an open circut and produces no voltage when it is below 360 degrees C. An open oxygen sensor circuit (cold) causes "Open Loop" operation. Code 13 will set: - Engine at normal operating temp above 50 degrees C - No Codes 21 or 22 - At least 40 seconds engine time after start - Oxygen Sensor signal voltage is steady between .30 and .55 volts - TPS signal above 4 percent (about .58 volt above closesd throttle) - All conditions must be met for 30 seconds. |
