Hello All,
Well the rain has begun. We are mostly staying dry. I am trying to get the water filtration equipment moved to the new pump house before things start to freeze. We have had a few trying times both with our new living arrangements and with the building project. Just to recap for those who might have missed something.

1: After careful consideration the higher ups from the Pennington Oregon Clan, decide that their moldy run down manufactured home needed to be replaced.

2: They also decide they dont want to move, (no! that would be too easy..) so they think long and hard and come up with this great plan!

3: Sell the mobile home (the home that you will need to argue with the DMV, County agencies and the buyer about moving off of your property), and live in a much smaller space, while you have a house built!

4: Now plan this whole thing, so it starts at the beginning of the rainy season, and will last right through the winter! That way all of your digging, trenching, and grading will take place in the mud! You will also have the added benefit of trying to keep all of your exposed water lines from freezing until the project is finished.

What a great plan! I wish I had thought of it!

So here we are at the campsite, Adam and Jons bedroom is our tent trailer. So far they have stayed warm and dry. Cody sleeps inside the 32 foot travel trailer with us. The 8x12 shed that the boys and I built, has the washer and dryer, Loreleis treadmill and the computer all hooked up and running in it. There is a mudroom in between the shed and travel trailer that gives us a place for coats and shoes. Our full size refrigerator is also in the mudroom to help with cold storage. Our other house stuff is scattered over hill and dale! Our wood dressers and couch are stored at our friend Pats house. Most of the boys stuff is either in the tree house or the new pump house. The rest of the stuff is down in the shop, taking up valuable space!

Last weekend we all went to Hood River (about 2 hours away) and bought apples, we had a great day. Last Wednesday, Lorelei and I went over to the Coast and spent the day for our anniversary. We watched Salmon in the river, shopped , and went to dinner.

Adam and Jon are doing well in school. Jon was the 6th grade, student of the month, and Adam was the 8th grade student of the month for the middle school! Cody is not so sure about school, he misses his mom and she misses him terribly! Chess season will begin soon and this year Jon and Adam will be back on the same team now that they are both in middle school. Next year Adam will be in High School, Jon in Middle School, and Cody in Grade School! Another fine piece of planning by the higher ups!

In animal news, we think we have found the hen that  was instigating the eating of the eggs! She has been isolated and her fate is unsure. Buddy had a nasty cut on his neck. Jon has been doctoring it and it looks like it will heal. All five of the ducks are still here! The coyotes must be otherwise engaged. Shaq the cat is doing well, he is a little confused about his sleeping arrangements at the campsite. He snuck into one of the storage compartments on the travel trailer one day, then Friday he was in the shed and found some freshly washed towels to snuggle up on, Lorelei was not happy!

The boys and I have cooked out on the campfire several times. We have a lot of fun with it and we are learning lots! Jon loves turkey burgers cooked right over the fire on a grill, he says he doesnt have to put anything on them, just the meat and a bun!

I am still trying to put more pics on the website, my connection here has been giving me fits trying to upload stuff. I will keep trying! Lorelei says that I am very trying!

Keep in touch, we love hearing from you!
