Hello All,
Not sure where to start this time. We have been much busier than I would like to be. We have closed the deal on building a new house and now the fun really begins. We are the General Contractor of sorts on the whole project. We are responsible for getting the lot ready, this includes, temporary power and water, excavation of the lot, driveway improvements, septic inspection and  I am sure other things that they forgot to tell us about, (yes surprise, surprise, there have been several things they didnt tell us!). During actual construction of the house we will be responsible for cleaning the site between subcontractors, we will paint the inside and outside, also we will take care of the back-fill around the foundation, connections for sewer, water and rain drains! We have been working long days getting ready for the move. The boys and I have dug out all the water and electric lines (mostly the boys did), we have nearly completed an 8 x 12 building that will house the washer and dryer, Loreleis treadmill and the computer. We purchased a 32 travel trailer and have it here now. The boys and I finished hooking up electric, water and sewer to it last night. We have set up the tent trailer for Adam and Jon to use as their sleeping quarters. We will see how this all works! If things go as planned (ha! Ha!) the new house will be completed in December or January. The boys have been a great help. We have been working almost every night until around 9 p.m., I usually give them something to do during the day when I am at work, and then after dinner we work until almost dark. Lorelei has been taking care of most of the clerical stuff. Some days she is on the phone for hours, insurance, excavators, electricians, county personnel, people that dont have a clue, etc.

The animals are doing fine. The garden is doing OK I guess, (I dont see it much), the front lawn is dead, (which is fine), most of the other projects are on hold until we get moved out of the mobile home.

Cody is doing well. He wants so bad to help. There has not been too much he can really help with so far. Much of the work is heavy and I worry about him getting hurt and I am usually in a hurry to get things done so my patience is thin. We try to set aside some time for him every day. He likes for us to read him books. He talked his Mom into taking him butterfly hunting last night. He took her all around the property, they found lots of berries and stuff, but no butterflies. Last weekend the boys and I took an evening off and we went to the county fair. It was Codys first time on a Ferris Wheel. He also went on a fast twirling ride with his big brothers. He said it made his head hurt but he liked it! Cody had cotton candy, we watched some horse competitions and a hypnotist. We had a great time and it was a nice break that we all needed.

Adam in his spare time has been working on computers and is trying to put together a band. He still loves basketball and plays every chance he gets.

Jon is the new social guru of the family. He is always invited somewhere! He helped out with a parade recently. It seems he is always at a birthday party or a sleepover somewhere. He and his friends are building a fort down near the pond.

As for Lorelei, well I am not sure how she is holding up under all this stress! It will definitely be tight quarters for the next several months. Nearly everything about our daily lives will be changed. Her shopping habits (go to the store every other week and buy two shopping carts full of groceries) will definitely be different. She still walks on her treadmill 4 or 5 times a week.

Well thats about it for now, I need to go hang drywall in the new shed. I will try and post some pictures of the construction zone on the website, so watch for those.

Take care All, write when you can,

Glynn Jr.
