Hello to All,
Happy Easter!

We have had an above average rainfall for April so far. The
temperatures have been below normal also. I put some seedlings out in
the garden two weeks ago. They are now a shriveled mass, laying atop
the frozen ground! Lorelei has some great looking seedlings growing
in the window. She has given me strict orders not to touch them! The
boys and I have been scrambling to find enough firewood to keep warm.
We have been trying to make a level spot to put Cody a swing set. The
spot where we have been working has a lot of clay in the soil and
LOTS of rocks. We used the truck to pull two of the bigger rocks out
last week. I got some chicken wire around the two new apple trees so
the deer can't get them. Some of the other fruit trees look like they
might come back to life this year.

The pond has got some water in it again. The evenings belong to the
frogs. They make an awesome racket. The mornings belong to the birds.
By 5:30 they are chirping and singing. The cherry trees are in full
bloom. They contrast the surrounding evergreens quite vividly with
their white flowers. On the other end of the spectrum, I have spent
about 4 hrs on the lawn tractor this week, the boys and I chopped
blackberry bushes and cleared brush for a couple of hours yesterday.
The poison oak is leafing out. Adam has begun his annual sneezing.

The baby chicks are HUGE, we will try and introduce them to the rest
of the girls next weekend. The new additions to the irrigation
waterline have been completed. We now have water in the garden, and
the boys have a faucet at the chicken coop. The other animals are all
doing well. We still have the two remaining ducks, which are a
constant source of entertainment. We have not seen the young raccoon
again, so I assume he is OK.

The boys have a couple of more weeks of soccer. They are both playing
great! They are both tough competitors. Adam is working hard on his
science project (solar power). Adam is still playing the piano daily,
he makes up his own songs, they really sound pretty good. Both are
doing great in school. Cody is his normal wild man self. He wants so
much to be a big boy like his brothers. Lorelei took him to the Amity
Easter egg hunt yesterday. We go this morning to watch Lorelei sing.
She's nervous, but I know she will do fine, she is a great singer!

That's about it for now,

Glynn Jr.
