About Me

I am currently pursuing a multiple subject teaching credential in the ACT program at CSUN.  I graduated from UCLA in 2004 with a degree in Economics. Related experience includes being a TA at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, then as a tutor/TA in an after-school enrichment program at Warner Avenue Elementary School, where I assisted in various art classes, and tutored elementary students and helped them with their homework.  Most recently I worked as an art teacher/camp counselor for the Children's Arts Institute over Summer 2007. I am currently student teaching at Vena Avenue Elementary in a Kindergarten class. I also teach economics, and math at the Academy of Couture Art. I am enjoying this program and will complete it next Spring (2008).

My Teaching Philosophy

It is my duty to spark interest in students and engage them. I believe in a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, and learning. Each student has a unique set of experiences and abilities, which I will build upon. I love visual art, music, theater, and dance and believe that the arts enrich academic learning. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and hope that I will be able to meet the California content standards for my classroom and beyond!

EED  515

This webpage was created for EED 515, a  technology methods class that teaches us to use common applications that teachers may use in instruction.  The website includes sample assignments I have created for the class such as a grade book, letter to parents, and power point presentation.
