{We open to see a small area, with two chairs, a small table and a man sitting in one of the chairs. The man is Nathan Hallfonte. A large screen drops down from the back to show the NWF logo}
Hello folks, my name is Nathan Hallfonte. I am here to bring you the first ever NWF Outlook. A small show designed to go into depth about the next card. A place to express my views and listen to your opinions. Let's start.
{Nathan grabs some cards off the table}
In nine days, the NWF will open it's doors and have it's first card in a long time. Just recently, President Raven acquired the NWF and reopened it in the Great Lakes Region of the famed NeWA. And the first card? Originally containing just a battle royal, President Raven yesterday added another match. It's a best of five match, pitting Triple Six Trek against a new comer by the name of The Ocean.
{On the back screen, it shows a picture of Triple Six Trek on the left, a picture of The Ocean on the right...and the ??? Title in the middle}
Now this just isn't any match. It's the first of a best-of-five series, for the unnamed title. For any of you who don't understand this title...here is the description I got from the NWF front office. The unnamed title is the secondary title in the NWF. Whomever holds the title, gets to choose it's name.
{Nathan smiles}
That ought to be interesting. With Triple Six Trek formerly the leader Green Invasion of the BJWC, will he bring his wacky and disgusting friends to the NWF? Or has he given up the green to go for the gold?
{Nathan clears his throat}
This match at Dead Zone, is the first match of that best-of-five. It is A Ten-Count Match. For those of you who are new to wrestling and the entire idea, instead of the usual three count to win the match...someone must pin their opponent for a full ten count to win. This means there is no roll-ups or fast counts. This will come down to really, who can knock their opponent out. Triple Six Trek, just recently retiring from the BJWC, appeared at the BJWC Slamfest pay-per-view and came a hair away from winning the BJWC Heavyweight Title from 'Kid Ego'. Will he bring that intensity to the NWF? Only time will tell.
{Nathan turns and looks at the telescreen behind him}
But here's the wild card in this match...The Ocean. No one has really met him, besides President Raven. The Ocean must have given President Raven one hell of a show, to put him in this type of match so quick. But I guess the President knows what he is doing. The Ocean, poised for gold if he can defeat Trek in three matches, could be one of those surprises that pop up every once in awhile. I'm curious to see what he can do. And from what I hear...he's a good submissionist, which spells trouble for Trek. Why, you ask? Because if The Ocean can win the first two matches, the third match is a Submissions Only match. We will get into that later, but let's just hope The Ocean can live up to this reputation and the pedestal that President Raven has put him on.
{Hallfonte shrugs his shoulders}
By placing The Ocean against Triple Six Trek, President Raven has definitely put The Ocean in a spot where it is either put up...or shut up.
{Nathan shifts the cards in his hand}
Now on to the Battle Royal. As of today, it involves thirteen men. The only person left out of the entire card that is on the active NWF roster, is Ronnie McNeil. But it is an excused absence for some personal business.
But anyway, back to the NWF Open Invitation Battle Royal. With a little more than twenty-four hours to sign up, seven men outside of the NWF roster, have taken that Open Invitation...and want to step into the NWF ring.
{A picture of 'Kid Ego' Diesel Warren appears on the telescreen. The BJWC logo stands behind him}
Currently the BJWC Heavyweight Champion and co-founder of The CORE, Kid Ego steps into the NWF to see if he can get another title to add to his already astonishing list. The Kid hasn't been in the NeWA long, but he has already made his presence known by winning the BJWC Heavyweight Title AND hold the NeWA Tag Titles. Kid Ego can be one of the keys to this match, depending on whether he comes in first...or last.
{A picture of 'The One' Yoshi Kawazughi appears on the telescreen now. The AW logo appears behind him}
Yoshi Kawazughi, formerly of BJWC's 'HWF Invasion'. Yoshi is one of the few who stayed from the wave of talent, adding the AW and the RW to his list of active feds. He is a former HWF Heavyweight Champion and intends on making the NWF Great Lakes Heavyweight Title, his first NeWA sponsored fed's top titles. Will Yoshi's activeness in the BJWC, AW and the RW slow him down? Make him tired? I guess we will have to wait and see. And for you Yoshi fans...hope and pray he comes in near the end. Because I have a feeling, he may just ware down if he is in there too long.
{A picture of 'The Main Event' Jackson Dane appears on the telescreen, fading Yoshi's away. A BJWC logo appears behind him}
Kid Ego's arch-nemesis, Jackson Dane, has mostly come to the NWF not only to win the battle royal...but probably to make sure Kid Ego doesn't even come close. After being spurned by Kid Ego at BJWC Slamfest, Dane is ready to launch another assault at Kid Ego. But as of this hour, Jackson Dane is the lone member of Team NWA to appear in this match. He is definitely out numbered, but Dane is a fighter and could probably take on anyone who steps in his way. But...can he let his hatred for Kid Ego fade away for one match? Or will his hatred get the best of him? Because if he pulls his attention away for one moment, from anyone else in that ring...it could spell the end for Dane.
{Dane's picture fades out and a picture of Dmitre Wehrman appears now. The OWF logo appears behind him}
This guy is so new into the NeWA that I can barely pronounce his name. But the BJWC and OWF higher ups are praising him. Standing as the OWF Primetime Champion, Dmitre walked into the BJWC and won THEIR battle royal. Which makes you think, can you he win two? Just like The Ocean, Dmitre is fairly new to the scene and not that many people know too much about him. So he is one of the few wild cards in this match. He has no beef and new favorites, which makes his chances great. Can Dmitre make it two for two in battle royals? Or will the lone representative of the OWF go back to his fed crying?
{A picture of Triple X appears now, covering the picture of Dmitre. An HWF logo appears behind him}
Former HWF World Heavyweight Champion...Triple X comes here at a request of President Raven. Trying to get more people into the Battle Royal, President Raven went to the HWF and poised the dare, for anyone to come and represent the HWF, to make them proud. President Raven got his wish when former enemy Triple X answered the call. With three other current/former HWF members in this battle royal, Triple X will know some things. But from being outside of the NeWA Continuum, can he hang with some of NeWA's best? But then you can also ask, can NeWA's best hang with him?
{Triple X fades away as a picture of Post appears on the telescreen now. An HWA logo appears behind him}
Post is the second CORE member that is found in this match. Another lone representative, Post brings his reputation (and the HWA's) into this match. He may not hold the high achievements of his fellow CORE members, but Post has spitfire in him. He is currently the HWA's Honorable Champion. I'm sure Post will use his currently loss to Team NWA member and NeWA Television Champion, Joe Raper, to propel himself into this match with fight written all over him.
{Post's picture disappears and in it's place, appears the picture of Damion Darkside. The SCCW logo appears behind him}
Nothing is really known about Mr. Darkside as he was a late-night addition into this rumble. All we really know...is that so far, he is the lone representative for the SCCW. A former associate fed of the NeWA, just like the NWF currently is, the SCCW was just granted full privileges as a Member Fed. The SCCW has been licking it's chops to get into some NeWA action...and here Damion Darkside reaches out to the NWF, to show that the SCCW has what it takes to be a contender.
{Damion Darkside's picture, as well as the SCCW logo get slammed out of the way by the new NWF logo}
Then...there is the NWF strong...the NWF bodies that plan to keep this honor in their federation.
{A picture of Brian Steele appears on the telescreen}
Former BJWC member and President, Brian Steele comes to the NWF with something to prove. After selling the rights to the NWF to Cyris Raven, Steele made sure the agreement included a contract. Steele, after quitting the BJWC, comes to the NWF to give himself a fresh chance at gold. Can he beat the demons of his past and stand tall above everyone else?
{Brian Steele's picture disappears and a picture of Don Diego appears on the telescreen}
Not much is known to the NeWA about Don Diego. But President Raven surely knows him. Long time ago, President Raven ran another fed...with Don Diego in it. Before the fed was forced to shut down due to financial matters, Don Diego was at the top of his game and was poised to be the champ. Now, with money everywhere and sponsors foaming at the mouth to get the NWF going, Don Diego has a chance to find the gold he once craved. But does he still have the fight in him?
{Don Diego fades out and a picture of Super Stu appears on the screen}
Also a current member of the BJWC, Super Stu comes from his Scottish home, to see how well he can perform in the NWF ranks. Not achieving much in the BJWC, Super Stu steps into the doors of the NWF to become one of the best. Will Super Stu be super man? Or will he be a super dud?
{Super Stu is pumped off the screen by a picture of Joey Numbers}
The third member in this battle royal, of two things. He is the third member of The CORE that will give it his all in this match. And he is also the third current/former member of the HWF. Currently, you can go to the HWF and find the Joey is the HWF Heavyweight Champion. Can he bring that power into the NWF? Can he take on the ranks and show that coming from the HWF makes you elite? Or will Numbers find out that Strength In Numbers, means nothing?
{Numbers' picture waves away, like a dream. Nightmare's picture appears}
Fourth and final member who is currently in the HWF, Nightmare walks over from NWF's neighboring federation (the BJWC) to prove to his old teacher (President Raven) that he is ready for it all. Former BJWC Hardcore Champion, Nightmare joins the ranks of the NWF to get a new start. After coming into the BJWC and being taught by then BJWC Heavyweight Champion, Cyris Raven, Nightmare will use everything he was taught...to pull out the win and go to 'Guts, Gold and Glory' to win the Great Lakes Heavyweight Title. But he has one hell of a task in front of him, before he can call himself the winner.
{Nightmare's picture disappears and a picture of 'Goliath' Brandon Lloyd appears on the screen}
Former member of the BJWC and former BJWC Heavyweight Champion, Brandon Lloyd comes out of a short retirement to prove that he still has it in him to win the big one. Goliath comes in here, looking at his last match (a title loss to now-retired Dante Calavria), and wants to show the world that it was just a fluke. Another favorite in this match, Goliath intends to show former nemesis Cyris Raven...that he is back...and ready to be champion. But the question is...is the rest of the NWF ranks ready to step out of his way...or will they stand up to Lloyd?
{A picture of Joey Brannon pushes Lloyd's picture out of the way}
Then there is the new comer Joey Brannon. No one has seen what he can do, but obviously he must of made a good impression on President Raven to be hired. With being new to the NWF and to the NeWA...Joey will have some work to do to make a name for himself. Does he have what it takes to get his name up there in lights with the likes of Ronnie McNeil? Triple Six Trek? Brandon Lloyd?
{The picture of Joey Brannon fades out and the telescreen just shows the NWF logo. Nathan puts down half the cards}
So this should be a pretty interesting match-up. The order will be randomly drawn at the pre-show party, by each wrestler. For those who don't understand...President Raven will have a basket full of slips of paper. Each wrestler will get their chance to pick their numbers. Whatever they pick...that's what position they will be in. Easy enough. But what if someone like Kid Ego or Brandon Lloyd pick the last number? What if they pick the first number? Anything is possible in this battle royal. And it's only for a SHOT at the Great Lakes Heavyweight Title.
{Nathan Hallfonte leans back in his chair}
Well folks, that's all for this week. Tune in two Saturdays from now, to see the NWF Outlook again. Until then this is Nathan Hallfonte looking out, from NWF's Outlook.
{Slowly the lights go out in the studio and the scene cuts to a NWF logo}
