Deathwing Chapter
This is my main army. It is composed solely of terminators, land raiders, and dreadnaughts. Currently I have about 30 terminators of assorted types. I have two regular land raiders. They are armed with two sponson mounted twin linked lascannons. It has a pintle mounted storm bolter, and a twin linked heavy bolter. I have a land raider crusador. It is armed with two sponson mounted hurricane bolters. It has a twin linked assualt cannon on the front, and a pintle mounted multi melta. I have two dreadnaughts. One is armed with a cyclone missile launcher, and twin linked lascannon. The other one has a stormbolter mounted on a power fist, and an assualt cannon. My terminators have several options they can be armed with. Two lightning claws, a power fist and a storm bolter, thunder hammer and storm shield, cyclone missile launcher and storm bolter, or an assualt cannon and chainfist. The Grandmaster of the deathwing can have whatever he wants. The dark angels (the chapter that deathwing subscribe to) got ripped. I still play them because of their extremely tough armor, and power/heavy weapon options.
I don't have much to say about imperial guard. I am trying to get a small force together. I am going to use them as a planetary defense team. They get masses of troops for not many points. They are not armed or armored very well. I don't think they would work very well on deathwing because they have very few weapons that can penetrate the deathwing armor right away.
