I chose Dr. King for my project study.
because he sacrificed so much for Black People.

Dr. King, Jr. was born at noon on Tuesday, January 15th, 1929 -- at the family home, 501 Auburn Avenue, N.E., Atlanta, Georgia. He was the first son of the family. When he was five he went to elementry school in Atlanta. And he studied at Morehouse College, in Atlanta.
Dr.King entered the Christian ministry and was ordained in February 1948, at the age of nineteen. Dr.King was a pivotal figure in the Civil Rights Movement.
He did many protest actions. For example, he tried the Montgomery Bus Boycott from 1955~1956 (381days). And he did it. He was arrested thirty times for his participation in civil rights activities.
Dr.King's purpose is shown in part of his speech given at the "March on Washington". There he said, "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I think his perpose was to make America at peace; but not just at peace, he wanted to make American a land of peace and equality.
In his life he did much good service for his country and people. He died at 1968, because somebody assassinated him; but that person was arrested. (There is some controversy as to whether the assassin acted alone). As Dr.king did so much for his country; I think he is the king of the leadership.
