.Intro

Everyone can imagine about creatures that couldn't really live in this world. And most people know one or two imaginary creatures anyone who has read a fantasy novel like Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings. Today, I'll talk about 'Eastern and Western creatures in imagination'

.Eastern Creatures

.Dragons

There are Eastern Dragons and Western Dragons. I'll talk about Western Dragon later.

An Eastern Dragon look like a snake but one with scales on its body and holy marble in its mouth called "Yeo oui ju" (). A "Yeo oui ju" () has mysterious power. And Dragons use it to control wind and rain. They can fly without wings.

Ancient Eastern people thought the Dragon to be a god (of sorts) and that dragons guard the land, the nation. And this theme shows in various oriental kingdoms.

In Korea (during the "Chosun Dynasty" -- 1392-1910) people spoke of the king's face "Yong Ahn" (, where Yong/ represents a Dragon); and they spoke of the king's seat "Yong Sang"/. And if you have a lucky dream; You would say "I had a 'Yong koom/.'
