I would like to tell you about George Washington. Please consider carefully.
George Washington was born in 1732 and, as the first president of the united states, he became know as "the father of the country"
He is an important person in the history of the United States
As a young child he went to school, but it was hard. However, he knew he had to do it--even though he only went to school for 7 or 8 years
Later, while serving in the House of Burgesses, in Virginia, he realzed that his country needed its indpendence
His experince as an officwe during the French and Indian war came in handy when
the countinenfal army was fighting the British.
He had a passion for Intelligence Gathering, and he recruited the best people to spy for him and to be generals of the army.
The people of America wanted to be free of the rule of England and fought for the right of freedom
He said that he himself would accept no pay and washington was always trying to become at better person
He learned and practiced the adage: when walking with a great man, don`t walk right deside him ,but somewhat behind him, staying close enought that he may speak easliy to you
When the people asked him to run for a third term; he said "no" and went back to the plantation
he later returned and became Commader -in-chief of the army
In 1799 he become ill with a sore throat. it is said of Washington that he was first in war, first in peace and first in the hearts of his country men
