The funeral home opened on Monday @ 1:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. Tuesday from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Service of celebration of her life was on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
On Monday and Tuesday night @ 7:00 Vickie's sister-in-law Virgina sang some beautiful gospel hyms and Bro. Doc brought forth the message of the Lord. Encouraging people to get ready and make sure where you will spend eternity. Several people responded and surrendered to the Lord on Monday night On Tuesday night he again encouraged people there to make Jesus their Lord and savior. Several people responded again. On Wednesday for the service several was asked to share about Vickie. Frank and Sharon,Bro.Doc and Sis.Pat, Vickie Gibson, Melissa Suire, dauhter-in-law, and Vickie's nephew all shared stories of Vickie in their lives. Her son Dusty got up and spoke his love for his mom. Her favorite songs were played. Open the eyes of my heart Lord & Iwil praise you in this storm.
We had motorcycle escorts to the church and then to the cemetary for final rest. When we arrived at the cemetary the bikes reved their motors all ata the same time for 3 seconds 7 times {# of completion} the rumble shock the groud and we all had chills. Thanks to all the bikers for doing this with us it was something she wanted. We then had a song by Virgina, Amazing Grace & I'll Fly Away, which they released one white dove representing her spirit, then a flock of them after. |
