And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

-2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV)

Our Pastor:

Elder An'drea H. Kelley

Elder An'drea (pronounced Andre not Andrea) H. Kelley was born on January 6th, 1978 to the late Hezekiah and Ethel Pearl Kelley-Roach in Stamford, CT.

Elder Kelley developed a love for God at an early age. Often, more than not, he was seen reading and studying the Bible. He always dressed as if he were going to church. Ridiculed for his style of dress, and even called “Rev” by those closest to him; foreshadowing the call of God upon his life.

While attending the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church pastored by the late Bishop W. Hardy, Elder Kelley was baptized in Jesus' name on January 29th, 1994 at the age of 16. The following year, February 22 to be exact, Elder Kelley was filled with the Holy Ghost , evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance.

In the winter of 1995-1996, he was hospitalized for an unknown case [then] of Sickle Cell Anemia. As it was with Joseph (Genesis 25-27), so it was with Elder Kelley; for the Lord was with him. Before undergoing numerous tests, the Lord put prayer in his heart. It is said, the prayer he prayed when first admitted saved his life. In answer to prayer, the Lord richly blessed Elder Kelley with full recovery from his sickness. In June of 1996, despite illness, the Lord blessed Elder Kelley to graduate Stamford High School.

Not only did God prosper Elder Kelley to graduate high school, but to go on to college. Elder Kelley attended Eastern Connecticut State University (class of '00). In college, the Lord further cemented His calling on Elder Kelley's life. First, by allowing him to find and attend an apostolic church (Apostolic House of Prayer in Willimantic, CT pastored by Elder Edward Bostic) during his college orientation. Secondly, the Lord called Elder Kelley into the ministry in October of 1998. His calling was later confirmed in a meeting with his pastor a month later.

Elder Kelley was ordained into the ministry in July 1999 by the Greater Emmanuel Temple Holiness Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. He was licensed and ordained as an “Elder”.

In the summer of 2001, Elder Kelley, along with his mother and two younger brothers moved to Henderson, Nevada. Prior to his move to Nevada, it was asked of Elder Kelley by the late Bishop Hardy to establish a church for God in the western United States, that would be an affiliate of the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church. The Lord did not lead Elder Kelley in that direction so soon. Yet, the calling of the Lord was upon him, and a work for God would soon come to pass.

While visiting a local saint's home, during prayer, God spoke to Elder Kelley--calling him into the pastorate--making the city of Henderson his base of operation. A few days later God gave Elder Kelley the name “Glorious Apostolic Church” from the scripture Ephesians 5:27.

Today, Elder Kelley continues to pastor the Glorious Apostolic Church. He is consistently studying, preaching, and praying for the will of God to be fulfilled. He is, without a shadow of doubt, a “One God, Jesus' Name' Rapture-Ready, Holiness, Apostolic Pentecostal Preacher.”
