| A FEW LINKS I LIKE Over the Rainbow Transformations My friend Victoria Sinclair's dress-up service in Portland, Oregon. She has a full-service studio where you can get a makeover, wig styling, nails, even waxing. I have been dressed by Victoria a number of times; one session is on my "Dolly" page, and a number of others are in the Over the Rainbow gallery. Do note that although these photos feature my personal clothing and jewelry, Victoria does have an ample (and luscious!) dress-up wardrobe for photo shoots. She is very good at what she does. Highly recommended! And please tell her that Gloria sent you!! Life's a Draag This site features makeover services by Tora Roberts, but it is also offers a wealth of information on the TV/CD scene in Vancouver, BC., with pages on regular events and outings, TV friendly bars and restaurants, and special upcoming events. Also: tips and tricks, lots of links, calendars, and more. A nicely done site. Next vacation, I think I'll head north. Pandora de Pledge Speaking of fantasies (and I believe we were), this site has been the source of many for me. It is a dress-up service based in London, and the site features photo layouts of clients. Professional makeovers, gorgeous elegant outfits, classy backdrops. Yummy. The House of Sissify A virtual world in which Mistresses and sissies may meet and chat. An excellent site with plenty of features, all of which are regularly updated. Some is accessible to nonmembers, but many features are member only. Subscription fees pay for the site. No pop-up ads! No banners! Yay! Lady B Wear My, my, my. Based in the UK, this store features an incredible selection of crossdressing, fetish and club wear. Best of all, most of the female clothing is available in a male cut: longer sleeves, longer hems, larger necks. Also: a gallery, stories, contests. You must become a member for some of the features, but anyone can shop. And you will want to. Note: The prices are not especially cheap, but the clothing I've gotten there is high quality. Lisa's Sexy Shoes and Boots I have had good luck ordering shoes from this site. The site is user friendly, the shipping is prompt, and they carry size 12 in almost every style, from flats to spike heels. What more could a Tgirl ask for? (A related note: Why is it that when some stores carry heels that are size 11 and up, they stock 7-inch platforms only? Aren't most of us Tgirls tall enough as is?) Ron's Rhinestones I would be totally remiss if I didn't include this fabulous site in my list, seeing as how I've visited the site so many times myself. (See my Hello Dolly page, for instance.) Truly outrageous rhinestone jewelry fit for a queen. Great stuff. Delivery has been prompt and discreet. A NOTE ON JEWELRY: On the web, vintage costume jewelry is a cottage industry. Hundreds of sites offer any style (and price range) imaginable. Many offer the PayPal option, which is what I usually do. If not that, I send them a postal money order. I especially love to shop for jewelry in person. Some of my favorite pieces have come from antique stores. Try to find an antique mall in your area, at which dozens if not hundreds of dealers have spaces. At least some of them will specialize in jewelry. By the way, if you're shopping for a bracelet be sure to measure your wrist ahead of time, then have the bracelet measured before you buy it. I carry a tiny tape-measure on my keyring for just that purpose. You might want to measure necklaces, too, although it's easier to add an extender in that case. This is all assuming you're too shy to try it on there, of course! |
