Sometimes life seems hard,
Filled with trouble and woe
Then I need to remember
It's in the valleys I grow.

If I stayed on the mountain
And never experienced pain
Would I know God's love
Or live my life in vain.

I have so much to learn
My growth is very slow
I need the mountain tops,
But in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
I am very sure of one thing.
My God will see me through.

Forgive me, for complaining
When I'm feeling so low.
Give me a gentle reminder
It's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengten me
Please use my life each day
Share Your Love with others
Help them find Your way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
Mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the Valley I grow!
