This book is a thriller in more ways than one. Unpredictable plot twists keep you guessing which of Megan's friends or family members is the killer, and the rekindled love between Megan and Will gets your pulse racing for other reasons. Ms. Marlow's story is full of humor, passion, and unforced drama that surrounds characters who are so appealing and realistic, it's easy to become emotionally involved in their lives. This is a book you won't want to put down once you begin, so make sure you have budgeted yourself enough time to read it all.

Ms. Marlow really told this story well, with words that raced across each page in a style I found quite pleasing. Her characters were believable and charismatic. The relationship of Will and Megan was detailed realistically, with honest feelings and emotions. The author knew what she was doing from start to finish of this story. Any reader who likes mystery, suspense, or romance should enjoy this book immensely.

Gloria Marlow has written an outstanding romantic thriller with a delicious touch of the supernatural. Her characters are skillfully drawn, and her plot is captivating. Calling Shades of Silence a page-turner doesn't do it justice. It is an afternoon of pleasure - a story to get lost in. It is a perfect balance of plot, characterization, suspense, and romance.
I have learned to anticipate great things from Ms. Marlow. Shades of Silence exceeded even my highest expectations. It is one of the best books I've read this year. It receives my very, very highest recommendation.

Shades of Silence represents another successful Marlow excursion into passion and suspense. The mystery is chilling as Sara gradually learns the murderer's identity and motives. Sara's gift is harrowing and believably detailed. Drake Sexton is a sympathetic character, struggling to make sense out of a broken life. And Kelsey is a delightful child whose world is
brightened by Sara's warm and compassionate personality. For readers of the mystery and romance genre, any book by Gloria Davidson Marlow should be a must read.

The Butterfly Game is Gloria Marlows second novel. The story has a healthy dose of romance in it and while Im no romance fan, its the love angle that makes this mystery work so well. The romantic side of the story is nicely balanced with a Dont go down the basement! type of chilling terror. Its definitely a white-knuckle ride, guaranteed to produce goose flesh.

I really liked the pace of the story and the straightforward plot that doesnt depend on a confusing, oversized cast of characters. Every person in the story has a distinct personality, making each one of them easy to remember. The author doesnt try to write over everyones head and does a very nice job of keeping the reader guessing as to who the killer might be. Its a good story, suitable for a wide range of readers. Definitely a keeper.

Gloria Davidson Marlow has crafted an outstanding mystery. Her characters are deftly drawn and her plot is utterly compelling. Marlow follows closely in the footsteps of Mary Higgins Clark. "The Butterfly Game" is a must read for mystery fans!
