Storm is comprised by Satyr (Satyricon) on Guitar/Bass/Vocals, Fenriz ( Darkthrone/Isengard ) on Vocals/Drums, and Kari Rueslatten (The Third And The Mortal) on Vocals. Combining traditional Norse folk melodies played by Satyr in typical fuzz drenched 'Shadowthrone' style guitars and tribal folk drum beats bashed out in Fenriz's own style with a three way vocal attack of Satyr and Fenriz's deep clean vocals and Kari's female folk vocals. This is some of the most varied well written music of it's style, indeed unique in it's genre at the time of its release. Rousing, blood stirring, and powerful, Nordavind makes you want to grab your horned helmet and go raid the nearest isle in your longboat. Intricate in it's simplicity, and highly catchy, Storm will have you swinging your mugs of ale in no time yelling 'Oppi Fjellet' in your best viking voices. Some tracks vary slightly from the metal theme and just contain drum/vocal performances but they help the album flow and contribute more to its feeling. Superb.
