Another cheesy fantasy based power metal band....Domine hail from Greece and are an annoyingly addictive group. Firstly the vocals are very average, but contain a good narative quality and sound interesting. Secondly the drumming is very bland and simplistic but on occasion is great for the build ups. So starts the problems, the guitar work is simple but catchy and the keyboards are good but not overly inspired either! Lyrically 'Dragonlord' focuses on various predictable fantasy elements: heroics, dragonlords (der) etc. So is it any good? Well yes, but really it should suck, and apart from the three 'favourite' tracks mentioned below ( which aren't overly awe inspiring ) the rest of the album plods along rather harmlessly and offers up a few good ideas. So if you like your powermetal with a few good tracks and a bunch of semi solid lets call them 'jelly' tracks then you could do worse than picking up Domine whilst waiting for the next release of a band that intersts you.
