Mr. Loew's
Reading Classbooks

I am getting used to the reading class. Because I have such nice kids and get to make up my own lessons, I am enjoying the class.

We are always trying to build up our vocabulary.
We read the first Animorphs book, The Invasion by K.A. Applegate.

We read The Lion, the Wtch and the Wardrobe  by  C.S. Lewis.
My class read Freckle Juice by Judy Blume..

We read samples of science fiction and fantasy.

We read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

We read  The Giver by Lois Lowry.
We read part of Dealing with Dragons by  Patricia C, Wrede . The kids chose not to finish it.

The kids read and critiqued a book that I'm writing entitled Billy Beckett in the Battle of Britain.

We started to read Isaac Asimov's I, Robot. I think that the kids would have enjoyed the stories, but they were a bit too hard.

We read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. by J.K. Rowling.

In the 1998-1999 school year, I had a totally different group of kids and a completely different program.
On Wednesdays, we read the Los Angeles Daily News. On March 23, 1999, we looked at Access Magazine.

The children were supposed to find and read a fairy tale.

We read The Hardy Boys The Tower Treasure by Franklin W. Dixon.

The students read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.

We read Bunnicula by Deborah and James Howe.
