| MERLINS MUSINGS On The Nature of Sacrifice In Ritual Magick Regardless of your ultimate purpose, it is inherently evil to make any sort of "blood sacrifice" or form of sacrifice other than self sacrifice in any Magick ritual or invocation. Many practitioners of ritual and knowledge have found to their dismay that dealing with any negative entities eventually left one with the domination of EVIL. The Distinctions between evil and EVIL When I speak of evil, I generally mean the bad things that people do out of greed, ignorance or the man who kicks his dog, beats his wife or steals is committing evil acts, but may not be truly EVIL. These things are often just a personal flaw which may be overcome by willpower, by education or by giving it some serious thought. However, Unchecked, evil can easily become EVIL. EVIL on the other hand is that done by or inspired by something other than human failings. Calling on demons, devils, the Enemy, the Anti-Christ, true EVIL seeks only power over or the destruction of anything they can't have. |
