He won 2 gold medals in Indoor Volleyball at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics. In Atlanta in 1996, Kiraly partnered Kent Steffes to win the inaugural Olympic gold medal in beach volleyball.

Kiraly is the only 3-time Olympic gold medalist in Volleyball.
