The forests are very beautiful aswell as their animals like pines and desidous trees like oak, beech, maple, and many more. It covers a lot of land mass in Greece. It covers 25% of the land, that is about 34 million hectares. This forests constitute a precious haritage and they are called Taygetas, Ossa, Olympos, Pindos and Roop.
Here are some national forest parks that are spread through Greece.
Parnitha National Park. This park is about covering an area of 3,800 hectares and it was stablished in 1961. In this forest are many kinds of animals like deers, badgers, polecats, weasels and squirrels. The latest animal that bearly appears were a pair of two golden eagles.
Iti National Forest Park. Is located in the central part of Greece. This park was steblished on 1966. Part of this park contains blak pine, which are pretty neat. It also contains a lot of kinds of birds like the eagles, hawks, owls, partriges and hoopoes.
The forest that is on central Evia has a verey big mountain tha is called Mt. Diriys. It is the biggest mountain in that forest. It has an altitude of 1,743m. At the bottom of that mountain there are two cities or towns that are called Loutsa and the other one is called Ayious. There is also a Agali Gorge that is between the two of thoes two towns or cities. It gets verycold in the winter. It gets up to -10Co. The is very cold for the trees and the animals that live there. In the summer the regular temperature is about 70Co. That is almost the same temperature as here in L.A. The animal that live on Mt. Diriys are mostly birds because it is too high. They lay thier egg on the mountain's rocks so no other animals can eat them. It also rains a lot of H2O, that means water, high in the mountain and on the two cities below the mountain.
It gets pretty hot in the summers. It gets up to a high tenperature as about 100F.o That's kind of hot for the animals and the trees. THat is almost the same temperature in here in L.A. that is in the summer. I want to go to that Greece mountain because I want to try something new. I want to see the pair of golden eagles that is the new and resently is new at Iti National Park. I want to go in the summer because there must be a lake.
