.ancient greeks saw prefomenes and opras as a way to communicate with the god .they thought that if they did these preformenise and richualls that they would get happyness in return they thought if they please the gods with the music and the acting that they would have good crops that year. and that they would not get sick that year and pretty much that if they did the performence they would have happieness that whole year so people acted alot. and some times they would preforme on the streets for the same reason and too also make a couple of bucks
