The People of Greece The Greek men are the one's who run the government,they are usually away from home.When they were not invovled inh politics they will spent time in the fields,sailing, hunting,overseeing or working the crops,and manufacturing or in trade.The greek woman had verylimited freedom outside the home.They could attend weddings,funerals,some religious festivals,and they could visit female neighbors for brief periods of time. Most greek woman did not have chores to do . The had a slave to do all the work for them. Female slaves cook, clean, and worked on the crop field. Male slaves watch the door so they could make sure that one came to the house except female nieghbors. Charioy racing was the only game women could win, and only then if they own the horse.
Greek babies were called"youths" until the age of 30.When a child was born to ancient greek famalies. A naked father carried his new born baby in a ritual dance around the house hold.Friends and relatives send in gives.Girls stayed at home until they were married.Guys stayed at home helping in the fields ,sailing,and fishing.Slaves were not that important to the other people.
