Thoughts On Death
Death. There are few words that have such a ring of finality to them as the word "Death". The one constant in this entire Universe that we cannot avoid is the fact that these physical bodies will one day stop functioning and we will "die".
That may well be why death is such a taboo subject and why my friend from China physically trembles if I raise the subject as it is a subject not to be pondered never mind talked about.
The difficulty is that most folk regard death as the end of something and therefore if someone dies we should mourn our loss. Hmmm, did you think about that? We mourn OUR loss? Obviously not a loss for the person who died? Well, Ok, sometimes a young life or promising life is "taken" and I do admit that sometimes I wonder why when the individual seemed to have so much to give, it's hard to avoid that regardless your standpoint?
But and it's a big but, for the soul being that moves on, it is a freedom from this physical entrapment that is experienced.
A return to the "true" existence. An existence where Time, perceived evil, judgement, blame, pain etc etc simply do not exist. But the souls does!! In a realm full of the substance that engilfs and permeates All, LOVE. Pure unadulterated Love.
I know it's hard to think this way when you've lost someone close, I've had enough experience of that so far in this life to show me that. But I do find that between the death and the funeral that it does help to try to celebrate a life rather than mourn a loss. To celebrate the moving on and energy transformation of a loved one rather than a physical end.
As I have stated elsewhere on this site, we come into this Life having chosen a particular set of goals and circumstances and an "early" death may well mean that we have achieved and experienced what we came to and so we leave this physical realm. This should be celebrated I think?
Adopting a psoitive attitude to the deaths of others will also help us to view our own deaths as positive experiences and as such death should be embraced with open arms if not awaited with anticipation!
Death represents a completion of our tasks and when it does come we will undergo a review of how successful (in our terms) we have been in achieving our preset goals surrounded by non-judgemental Love.
Isn't that a wonderful thought???
