Barack Obama's Church Honors Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan

After a historical win at the Iowa Caucus and what appears to be another vote of confidence in New Hampshire, questions remain about Barack Hussein Obama's religious ties.

When Obama announced his candidacy for president, his background entered the fray. Though it appears that he is not held to task on his religious affiliations by the mainstream media, it does re-surface. Let's explore some recent events that may shed light on Obama's veiled religious affiliation.

In December 2007, the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) bestowed its highest social achievement award upon Louis Farrakhan, the head of the Nation of Islam. This was facilitated through the church's publication Trumpet Magazine and presented at their end of the year awards gala. The award dubbed the Lifetime Achievement "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Trumpet" Award is named after the head pastor that married Barack and Michele Obama nee Robinson.

According to the Church's publication, "the decision was made to honor socially conscious giants who commit their life's work to saving the lives of Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora."

In addition to thanking God for the commitment of their sponsors the publisher Jeri L. Wright, the pastor's daughter, also concludes by writing "we thank God for the commitment our honorees have made with their lives"

Among the church's other honorees, including congresswoman Maxine Waters, Louis Farrakhan earned top accolades with landing on the cover of the church's publication. The featured article about Farrakhan includes this observation attributed to the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr.

"When Minister Farrakhan speaks, Black America listens," says
the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, likening the Minister's influence to
the E. F. Hutton commercials of old.

"Everybody may not agree with
him, but they listen...His depth on analysis when it comes to the
racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye opening. He brings a
perspective that is helpful and honest."

Barak Obama is the Anti-Christ or at least a type thereof. A person with charisma that will fool many people into following him. Think about it he sneezes and people swoon. He could come in as president of the U.S. , which is Isreals biggest ally and with his endorsement from an Islamist like Farrakhan and please the Muslims and get the first real peace treaty in the middle east. Just as the bible says it will happen.

allah is the false god of all the violent degenerate terrorists in the world. I wish these assholes would quit talkin the game and launch their jihad on a global basis. Such action would provided a legitimate justification for civilized society to exterminate this vermin and rid the world of this diseased and mentally defective bunch or brainless psychos. It would be nice to finish the Crusade once and for all. The world would be a much safer and better place. The muslims have got to be the most gutless, spineless, mass murderers of women and children the world has ever seen. Good Riddance if it ever happens - We can only hope.

It's a shame that we as people have become so divided over superficial qualities/characteristics.To many lies have been perpetrated by the powers that be for even the smallest amount of honest sincere conversation about issues such as religion or race.This is why you can tell a person a certain truth and tell another the same truth and both will understand it differently though it is the truth none the less.We are so blind and feeled with emotion that we ca'nt see,hear,speak,smell,touch ect........anything properly.Our maturity level has reached an all time low to where we try and argue everything,not for right but just to show others up.Example,my teacher may have taught me 7+0=7and yours might have taught you that 6+1=7,and another might understand that 5+2=7,naturally people who are not versed in more than one order of operation in mathematics will argue this point and miss the whole principle of 7.The point is this,until this country,both black and white are able to be mature enou

Shamontiel, America has a shameful history regarding slavery. No American can honestly deny such crimes against humanity and it should never be forgotten. Americans can take great pride in abolishing slavery, ensuring that ALL men are considered equal, and punishing those that violates such laws and beliefs. Most of this was furthered by the Republicans, ma'am. Take a look around over the fences of America..slavery exists in Africa. Africans are subjugated and tortured by Africans and this is sponsored by African states..NOT America! America demands freedom for all. Rev. Wright is a hateful, racist man and should be rejected by ALL..especially black people that suffered at the hands of racism and injustice..how dare he espouse such vile sentiment from the pulpit?

Seriously Worried American, you might want to consider learning more about Muslims. Although there are those who will kill someone who doesn't believe in what they believe in or follow their practices, quite a bit of America's culture was built on that. What happened when a slave tried to use her own language? She was whipped. What happened when a slave wanted to keep his own name? He was beaten. What happened to keep slavery going for 400 years? Fear of being whipped, beaten, chained, gagged, drowned, having private parts cut off. American history is deeply rooted in torture (prime example: Emmitt Till). You want to talk about America? You might want to pay attention to the history that Reverend Wright speaks of. I'm behind Reverend Wright 100%.

Blacks have been fighting to free them sevles for years. 400 plus yeas. We need Obama, if we dont, America is falling like London Bridge! O' and dont let us go to war with Iran. All the Backs will go UNDER like they almost did today with the Bear Bank. The Feds can bail out Bank but what about america. Prepare yourself!

Seriously PEOPLE!!! Why would we elect this man as our President?? We can't get the answers straight about him!!? He obviously does not respect the Code of Ethics which all military personnel observes, simply put, the man doesn't even respect our pledge of allegiance in proper format. This is enough to frighten voters away from Obama. The recently released video of the wild assed congregants shaking their fists at the White people (and presumably the Jews) has shown me that I made a mistake in voting for Obama in the primary election in my state. I think he and his church are a danger to our nation. If he is nominated by the Democrat party, I certainly will vote for John McCain in November. People must be made aware that if Obama becomes president, our nation will be turned over to foreign interests, culturally, politically and religiously. Just say NO to Obama.

JR I believe you summed it up quite well in your post. Kiwanee obviously lacks the intellectual capacity to comprehend your analysis but that is not unusual for members of this group. He obviously failed his grade school grammar class as well. If a white leader made comments about the blacks in the same manner that brainless racist farrakan does, these people would be marching in the streets. The only way to protect the country and ensure competent leadership in this election is to vote your color. This will keep the smooth talking African racists like Hussein Obama out of the picture and irrelevant.
