How To Convince Your Parents Part II, Page 2
"Hey, awsome web site! Im working on getting a naval piercing.. im trying to convince my mom this is what i said:
'Mom! If you dont let me get it done then I'll do it myself, and when it gets infected and when im dying you will feel bad.'
Shes gonna let me get it done too!"

"Go to lots of sites like these ones. With stories and other people
telling you how great their piercing looks. Sometimes there are bad
stories so DONT pick those ones. Now, what you do is, Copy any stories
that you think would help convince your parents. Preferably stories along
the lines of 'It didn't hurt and it looks great!' and show them to your
parents. This will (hopefully, no guarentees) show them that lots of other
people get them everyday and love them. When it gets right down to it, you
are telling your parents(through other peoples stories) how good it is to
get you navel, tongue, cartilage, or whatever pierced. I haven't tried it
yet, seeing as I'm only 14, but I really want to get my navel pierced when
I am 15-16. I hope this'll help, good luck!"

"I wrote my dad ( who is very strict about everything ) a fifteen page essay of information about naval piercings, with everything that has to do with the procedure and aftercare, and other peoples opinions, that was a few days ago, but he is seriously considering letting me do it, I am just waiting for the answer."

"The best way to convience your parents to let you get a peircing is hold on I will tell you that in a minute but first...ok I am 14 and I have had my tongue peirced for 2 years ..so heres how i convienced my perents to let me get it done..I asked my parents a lot of times and they kept on saying no I am to young and I don't need it..My mom said ."when I was young we weren't even allowed to get our ears peirced until we were 18..I said " mom things change and all girls my age are getting it done she still said no so I moped around the house, sad and depressed for a while and finally she couldn't stand it anymore and let me get it done. This maynot work for everybody but it sure worked for me!!! GOODLUCK"

"I just wanted to say to anyone who is having trouble convincing their parents to let them get pierced--remember, it's not the end of the world. I wanted my naval and eyebrown pierced when I was 13 and my parents said no. So the day I turned 18 I went out and got my naval pierced. I decided against the eyebrow ring after thinking about it, and I'm glad I did--it would make it really hard for me to get a job with a facial piercing. Just remember--eventually you will be able to get pierced, no matter what your parents think."

"Hello,
I'm almost 15 years old and I have wanted my tongue pierced since I was 10! I made my mom this book like thing about all kinds of information and risks and things to show her I knew what I was getting into. Well, then my friend got her belly done.. and so did her mom! I told my mom about it, and she might let me get my tongue done! My dad has already said ok, now I'm just waiting for my mom's answer, and I also told her I would pay for it."
