| There are 2 places in your nose to have pierced: the nostril and the septum which is the piece of cartilidge which runs between the 2 nostrils connecting them. Procedure: For the nostril the piercer will clean the area, mark it, clamp it, then pierce it, usually going from the outside in and will insert a recieving tube into your nose to catch the needle. For the septum it is the same except the piercing will go from one side to the other. Normal gauges are 18-20 in the nostril but can go larger, and a bit larger in the septum, depending on what size you want. Aftercare: Wash it twice a day with sea salt soaks and clean it with anti bacterial soap. Healing time can vary with people, usually 6-8 weeks. |
