II: Approaching Danger

Elsewhere a threat was approaching. It had identified Aquarius as a lone planet, ripe for invasion. It was not long before the Aquarians noticed the signals and the astronomers had noticed the threat of the imminent arrival of the Saiya-jins. Queen Ria and her advisors quickly assembled the Royal troops to greet the arrival of the aliens. Princess Esa however was sat perched on her bed with Princess Cassie of Leo. The two girls sat just talking as they usually would for hours on end. Without warning, Esa got up and strolled out to the sunny balcony where she stood for a few moments gazing out over Mara as she did each day.

�Esa� Cassie called from inside �Why don�t we train if we�re supposed to be Senshi?�
Esa reached up to her neck and touched the small crescent moon crystal which hung on a delicate silver chain. She turned around lazing backwards on the balcony lifting her head into the sunlight.
'Yeah that�d be fun� she sighed deeply then slowly walked back into the room.
With perfect timing both girls reached up and touched the crystals on their necklaces

The two girls glowed bright white as their sailor suited uniforms formed around them. They were two members of the Zodiac Senshi, along with Princesses� Teimei of Virgo and Mellissa of Pisces. Their uniforms were like the other senshis�; white bodice, elbow gloves, sailor scarf, skirt and bows plus knee high white boots with a band of their colour inset with a oval shaped gold stone. Aquarius was in shades of bluey-greens, Leo in firey reds and oranges. They grinned at each other. Aquarius stood, her height given full emphasis by the uniform. Both held up their arms, their two middle fingers bent down as they flicked their wrists.
�Senshi Transport� they chanted, finding themselves next moment by the great lake of Atlantis.

Cassie looked up at the sky shielding her eyes from the sun.
'Look there�s something in the sky and its headed right here� she grabbed Esa�s arm and pointed her in the direction.
�Agh its nothing� Esa shrugged her off.

The Saiya-jin King departed his ship surrounded by a cluster of harsh looking followers. Aque stood motionless, his hand placed firmly on the hilt of his sword at his side. Aque was a fairly youthful monarch but he stood determined, teeth gritted against the threat.
�Don�t come a step closer. I can promise you I have allies who will come to my aid� Aque was careful not to mention directly the full extent of the interconnected Millennium despite the strength of the Federation.

�It is an insult that we are even being opposed by such weaklings� the Saiya-jin king began �So I shall state our objective. Give up this planet and we shouldn�t have to waste our time with you�
Aque drew in breath sharply, �You won�t have to be insulted by fighting us if we conduct this diplomatically�. Aque obeyed his orders, he could take the king to Ria and Ria was like a stubborn rock. An escort was quickly assembled for the King, his son and a bodyguard to go to the grand Palace of Atlantis in the capital of Mara.
